Retail: SONAE Case study
SONAE implemented the SCIENCE@WORK / SISQUAL® Workforce Management Solution in more than 1000 stores in Portugal and Spain for more than 12.000 staff.
Sonae is a multinational business group based in Maia, Portugal. It is present in 90 countries, operating in several sectors, including retail, financial services, shopping centres management, software and information systems, media and telecommunications.
With the project several outcomes were achieved, with the following highlights:
- ROI in less than 12 months;
- Full integration with SAP ERP;
- Sales increase thanks to hour to hour demand calculation and scheduling;
- Increased quality of life for staff, resulting in lower absenteeism (-15%) and staff turnover reduction (-12%).
The project contributed for SONAE to win the Shared Services & Outsourcing “EXCELLENCE and TRANSFORMATION” award.
In his statement on the Project, José Pedro Anacoreta Correia, head of legal, global personnel admnistration and payroll in SONAE said: “The Solution contributed for Increased Profitability, employee satisfaction, customer loyalty, store management effectiveness and labor rules compliance"”
